    Mr.P Ingredients is a business supplying smaller quantities of gelatine and hydrocolloid ingredients to home bakers and restaurants.

    We offer different gelatine products (a variety of bloom strengths and species) as well as vegan alternatives to gelatine (hydrocolloids including carrageenan and xanthan gum) and bespoke blends of vege ingredients for various applications.

    Typically, you will need to use your Mr.P Ingredients at 1% of your recipe – however check the label for the product as we have an easy to follow “how to use” section on each of our products, or alternatively check out our recipes page for lots of hints and tips!

    Our Agar Agar, when used at 1.5%, will achieve a gel strength of over 750g/cm.

    Yes you can use Agar Agar to thicken yogurt. We suggest adding it to your milk before heating and adding any cultures and making sure you achieve a heating temperature of at least 80 degrees C.

    We recommend using our Pectin at less than 1% in your recipe so you will achieve around 10kg finished product per 100g pot of Pectin.

    We would recommend you substitute 3 sheets of gelatine for 1.5 tsp of Agar Agar.
