Guar Gum
Our premium Guar Gum powder is mainly used to stabilise, emulsify and improve texture in a variety of different applications and will not alter the taste or smell of your food recipes. Guar Gum is an extra fine white powder obtained by grinding the seeds of guar Cyamopsis tetragonoloba, a herbaceous plant of the pea family native to India.
Guar Gum is used in salad dressings and vegan sauces helping to prevent the separation of oil and water or in ice cream to give a smooth texture, stabilising and giving freeze-thaw stability, preventing the formation of large ice crystals. It is also ideal for gluten free products to replicate the properties of gluten, adding elasticity to gluten free flours, resulting in a smooth texture.
