Tapioca Flour is gluten free, easily digestible and used for quick cooking. It has a sweet taste and can be used as a thickener and binder in puddings, spoonable desserts, baking and also to make creamy soups and sauces, such as Bechamel and Chinese sauces. It is also perfect to use with other gluten free flours to make bread, flatbreads, pittas, naan breads and even poppadoms! As it is so easily digestible, it is often used to feed children during weaning or for the elderly.

Tapioca flour or starch derived from cassava, a brown-coloured tuber similar to carrots, native to the tropical areas of South America and Africa. Tapioca, or arrowroot, is similar to flours derived from cereals but is characterised with a sweet flavour. This flour does not contain gluten but has elastic properties and nutritional value. It is highly digestible, so it is often used to feed children during weaning or for the elderly.

How to use: Blend with other dry ingredients and use as per recipe instructions.
